Youth Engaged in Philanthropy (YEP) Membership Application Now Available

Bloomington, IL - Youth Engaged in Philanthropy (YEP) is seeking applicants for its 2017-2018 program year.

 

Youth Engaged in Philanthropy (YEP) at Illinois Prairie Community Foundation is accepting applications for membership until April 2nd for 2017-2018.  Currently in its fourth year, YEP provides 20-25 high school students the opportunity to learn about the important role of the nonprofit sector and the impact that philanthropy has in creating a vibrant, inclusive community.

 

Applicants must be in high school in 2017-18, with priority given to students entering grades 9-11 in the Fall.  The program is seeking a diverse, enthusiastic group of students from McLean, Livingston, Logan and/or DeWitt counties to be a part of this philanthropic opportunity.  

 

YEP members learn to assess community needs, implement a grant cycle, evaluate grant proposals and hone communication and decision-making skills while developing teamwork and leadership qualities.
