Next Professionals

Mission

 

Our mission it to create integrated involvement with young professionals (ages 22-35) in McLean County in the areas of networking and professional development, social events and service activities. 

 

Who are the neXt Professionals?

 

The neXt professionals are a group of McLean County professionals ages 22-35 who strive to be the best in their respective fields, build their personal and professional network and improve their quality of life by giving back to the community in which they choose to live, work and play.

 

Monthly meetings are held the last Tuesday of each month at 5:30 PM in the 3rd floor conference room of the Commerce Bank Building on Center and Washington. Meetings are an opportunity for the group to network and discuss current business topics. Time is also set aside at each meeting for a guest speaker to share professional development insight.

 

Through monthly meetings, social events and service activities, the neXt professionals create candid discussion on issues affecting young professionals, what young professional's are looking for in their personal and professional lives and how young professionals can become more actively involved and visible in the business community.

 

Professional Development

  • Mini Workshops pertaining to current concerns and challenges facing young professionals
  • Networking opportunities with local professionals

  

Community Services

 

  • Quarterly service projects to give back to the community where we live, work and play
  • Past Projects include: 

                  -Boys & Girls Club Toy Box Build 

                  -Safe Harbor Mission Toiletry and Clothing Drive

                  -Midwest Food Bank

  

Social Outlet

 

  • Monthly social outings open to you and guests 
  • Sporting Events
  • Restaurants/ Happy Hours
  • Tailgating
  • Build relationship with your fellow neXt Professionals and future leaders!

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Highly motivated employee of a McLean County Chamber of Commerce member company in good standing
  • Ages 22-35 years old
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Professional demeanor and positive attitude
  • Desire to interact with local young professionals
  • Desire to participate in quarterly service projects within McLean County

Dues Structure:

 

Chamber Member Rate (per person):
$60 for January - December
$30 for July - December

 

Non-Chamber Member Rate (per person):
$72 for January - December

 

Your investment in the neXt Professionals covers the cost of gifts given to the speakers at our monthly business meetings. The standard gift is a donation in the speaker's name to the charity of his/her choice. Investments will also cover refreshments (served at all business meetings) and any activities or donations in which the group chooses to participate.

   

Schedule
neXt Professionals meets on the last Tuesday of every month on the 3rd Floor of the Commerce Bank Branch in Downtown Bloomington. Monthly social events are scheduled at different times each month, make sure to get on the email list to stay updated.
