Nominations Being Sought for Philanthropist of the Year

The Illinois Prairie Community Foundation is accepting nominations for its Philanthropist of the Year award. An individual, couple or family who best exemplifies philanthropic giving will be recognized on November 18 during the foundation’s Celebrating Local Philanthropy luncheon, to be held at the Marriott Hotel & Conference Center, Normal.


In 250 words or less, nominators must describe how nominees have:

  • Shown outstanding civic responsibility through contributions of financial resources and voluntary commitment of time
  • Served in leadership roles, providing vision and the ability to involve others in philanthropic activity
  • Demonstrated impact of philanthropic efforts


Nominees must reside in McLean, DeWitt, Livingston or Logan counties. A relationship with the Community Foundation is desirable but not required. Current IPCF board members are not eligible.
