One of the nation’s top Green Certification Programs, the IGBA offers a comprehensive certification program that encourages Illinois businesses to lessen their environmental impact in favor of adopting greener, more sustainable practices.  MRH accomplished 70 green practices in meeting certification criteria provided by the IGBA, reducing operating costs and resource use in nine areas of sustainability, such as Purchasing, Waste Reduction and Program Awareness. When asked about the certification process and the firm’s efforts over the last several months, Nathan Hinch, a partner at the firm, noted that "The IGBA was extremely helpful and knowledgeable in guiding us towards building a greener, more environmentally friendly practice in a cost effective manner.”

MRH strives to be a strong, positive example of social responsibility both in their legal practice and in the community at large. “Overall, we are glad to have gone through the certification process and are pleased with the positive impact it’s had on our business environment,” added Attorney Hinch. With MRH being the first in their industry, the IGBA believes many more firms should soon follow their lead.
