MARINE BANK SHREDDING DAY
Normal, IL, June 1, 2015 – The public is invited to participate in Marine Bank’s Shredding Day:
Shredding Day 9:00 a.m. to Noon Saturday, May 6th
Marine Bank, 1508 Fort Jesse Road, Normal
Each person may bring up to five boxes or bags of paper to be shredded confidentially on site.
Shredding documents that contain personal information is essential to protecting against identity theft. Even one piece of paper can ruin someone’s good name if it falls into the wrong hands.
Items that need to be shredded include: credit card offers, credit card statements, bank statements, insurance paperwork, investment records, paycheck stubs, deposit slips, household bills, medical records, old tax forms, mortgage statements, retirement account records, and outdated personal records such as wills. Now is a great opportunity to shred tax-related documentation that is more than seven years old.
As an added service at Shred Day, Marine Bank is partnering with Normal Gadgets for safe and secure cell phone disposal. Cell phones contain personal information that needs to be protected and toxic metals that can be recycled and kept out of the environment. Normal Gadgets will make sure that personal information stays safe and phones are recycled. Each person may bring an unlimited number of cell phones.
