“Service Learning Projects needed for Students with Autism at The Baby Fold.”

The Baby Fold’s Challenges
Program of Hammitt Junior-Senior High School will be adding service learning
projects to its program this spring. The Challenges Program works with children
on the Autism spectrum. We are looking for opportunities to partner with area
businesses that can use volunteer hours towards a particular project that our
students and supervising staff may offer. The project can be performed at the
business site or at our school campus. Examples of projects include organizing
promotional materials, assembling “goody bags” as part of a community event
(5K, etc.), and other time-consuming tasks that our students complete as part
of their life skills instruction. The projects are meant to be a win-win, allowing
your business to free-up staff resources while providing opportunities for our
students to serve the community.

If your business would be interested in learning more, please
Chris Baker at 309-452-1170 or at cbaker@thebabyfold.org.
