Release: Illinois State Genealogical Society 2018 Fall Conference



SPRINGFIELD, IL, 25 September 2018 –
The Illinois State Genealogical Society’s (ISGS) 2018 Fall Conference “Celebrating
Our Ancestors”
will held October 26 & 27, 2018 in Springfield,
Illinois at President Abraham Lincoln Springfield – a Doubletree Hotel by
Hilton. The keynote speaker will be Thomas W. Jones Ph.D., CG®, CGLSM,
FASG, FNGS, FUGA.



ISGS will be celebrating our 50th Anniversary and the
State’s Bicentennial. The Conference draws attendees of all experience levels,
from the beginner to the professional as well as the hobbyist from Illinois and
the surrounding states. Attendees will be able to choose from more than 20
sessions presented by nine expert and well-known genealogists: Thomas W. Jones,
Tina Beaird, Debra Dudek, LaDonna Garner, Mary Milne Jamba, Melissa Johnson,
Margaret Kapustiak, Debbie Kroopkin and Pam Vestal. Topics will cover Illinois
resources and archives, DNA, mapping, immigration, organization and more.



New
this year are two Pre-Conference Workshop conducted by Thomas W. Jones. Each
workshop is limited to 30 attendees each. A wonderful opportunity to learn from
the best in the field of genealogy.

Conference Registration, including Saturday’s luncheon with special guest Kevin
Wood, aka Mr. Lincoln. Separate ticket for Friday night’s Banquet and
presentation by Thomas W. Jones. Saturday only registration, including lunch,
is also Early Bird pricing ends October 4, 2018.
