The McLean County Chamber of Commerce Agribusiness Council invites you to celebrate and show support for agriculture education and the advancement of agriculture in our community during the 2020 McLean County Chamber of Commerce Agriculture Awareness Breakfast on Thursday, March 19th at the Chateau Hotel & Conference Center in Bloomington. The breakfast highlights FFA Service Award Winners, Maitland Scholarship Fund Recipients, and will feature a keynote address by local entrepreneur Matt Potts from DESTIHL Brewery.
From those first five-gallon batches brewed at the family farmhouse in the mid-’90s, to thousands of barrels of beer now crafted annually at DESTIHL Brewery and sold nationally and internationally, agriculture has always played a crucial role in DESTIHL's craft beer. At this year's Agriculture Awareness Breakfast, DESTIHL Brewery CEO, Co-Founder & Brewmaster, Matt Potts, will share insight on the processes done behind the scenes, including raw materials, production, quality control management, research partnerships with Illinois State University regarding brewery byproducts, and the facility's wastewater pretreatment system. Experience all of the effort Matt and his team put into ‘supporting flavor and boycotting bland’.
The breakfast will begin at 6:30 am with a breakfast buffet with the program to start at 7:00 am. The event is free to attend thanks to our generous event sponsors, however, registrations are required.
