‘Keep Up the Pace’ in McLean County to support local business.
$11,623 spent at Micro Businesses in August!
Participate in this exciting race by supporting businesses and organizations in our community. We’ll be racing to Micro, New & Emerging, Large, and Small businesses, as well as Nonprofits. Each time you visit a business or organization, show your support by making a purchase or volunteering, then let us know to enter our prize raffle.
After each leg of the race, we'll rest at one of our pit stops held at Business After Hours between September 2024 and January 2025 where we will draw the winners of one of four $100 Gift Cards, and one $100 Nonprofit donation. The Grand Winner Drawing will be announced at the Gala in February.

Mirroring the Excellence in Business Awards held at the annual Gala, your participation in The Amazing Race will support each of those five categories.
Micro Business:
A business with 5 employees or less. (# of employees is calculated with Full-Time employees counting as 1, and part-time employees counting as .5).
New & Emerging Business:
Businesses new to McLean County. Must have 3 or more employees. (# of employees is calculated with full-time employees counting as 1, and part-time employees counting as .5).
Large Business:
A business with 51 or more employees. (# of employees is calculated with full-time employees counting as 1, and part-time employees counting as .5).
Nonprofit:
A local 501(c)3 organization that demonstrates an ability to meet special community needs.
Small Business:
A business with 6 to 50 employees. (# of employees is calculated with Full-Time employees counting as 1, and part-time employees counting as .5).

Amazing Race Grand Winner Drawing
Participants must submit their Name, Employer/Title, Email, Phone Number, Business Supported Category, Date of Purchase/Volunteer, Purchase Amount (if applicable), and an optional Picture of the Receipt or Business.
Participants may enter as many times as they wish. Winners will be chosen through a drawing at Business After Hours events held between September 2024 and January 2025. The Grand Winner will be announced at the Gala in February 2025. Attendance is not required to win. Winners will be notified via email and must claim their prizes within 30 days of notification. Prizes must be chosen from businesses within their respective categories. Winners will receive a $100 gift card to the selected business, issued in the form of a proprietary gift card. If the business does not offer gift cards or certificates, a $100 Visa gift card will be provided instead. Failure to claim the prize within 30 days of notification will result in forfeiture.
