Thursday, July 20, 2023, our new advocacy event, Reimagining Advocacy MultiPlied (RAMP), centered around collective action and community growth. This event replaced the former "State of" Series.
This event focused on challenges and opportunities as we strive to RAMP up the local workforce. It began with an unveiling of the 2023 McLean County Employer Needs Survey results highlighting local business workforce needs. The survey was conducted by the Chamber and McLean County Community COMPACT with the support of PNC Bank.
Attendees heard from local government officials, state legislators and business leaders on what we can do to address these issues while having the opportunity to actively engage in discussion.
Invited speakers included: Illinois State Senators and Representatives serving McLean County. Bloomington-Normal mayors and managers. McLean County chairman and administrator. Chamber and EDC leaders.
